Cynthia Louise “Cindy” Rouse, 71, passed away at her home on July 18, 2023, after a period of declining health. Cindy was born in Lenoir County to the late Herbert Edward Rouse, Sr., and Mary Louise Owens Rouse on May 13, 1952. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Zeb Harvey Rouse.

Cindy worked for many years as a pharmacy technician, most recently working at Kerr Drug in Snow Hill. She was also a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Goldsboro.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home.

Cindy is survived by her brother, Herbert Edward “Fuzzy” Rouse, Jr., and wife, Penny, of Kinston; sister, Betty Carolyn Rouse of Pikeville; nephews and nieces, Herbert Rouse, III and wife, Julie, of La Grange, Amy Kearney and husband, Chad, of Kinston, Jake Rouse and wife, Ashley, of Lewisburg, WV, and Jenna Deloatch and husband, Jordan, of Winterville; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
