The town of Mount Olive has partnered with Retail Strategies to assist with attracting businesses to downtown Mount Olive.

The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking community input at surveymonkey.com/r/DowntownMountOliveNC. The deadline to complete the survey is July 24.

Barbara Kornegay, Lynn Williams, Jammie Royall, Sandy McCarty, Sherry Davis, Steve Wiggins and Julie Beck are serving on this committee along with Retail Strategies staff to recruit retail and revitalize downtown Mount Olive.

The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce is also hosting a reverse raffle on Sept. 19 at R&R Brewing located at 541 NW Center Street in Mount Olive. Admission to the event is $100 per couple, and includes a pork chop dinner for two.

Drive-thru meals will be served from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., with live event meals beginning at 6:30. The drawing will be held at 7:30. There will also be a cash bar.

The main prize will be worth $5,000 and there will be a special prize for ticket number 80.
