Annual Back to School Bash Scheduled for August

While Worrell Contracting Company is recognized all over the nation for its project management and high-level landscaping skills, it is addressing the needs in its hometown that inspire the company to serve.

For the sixth year, Worrell Contract, along with multiple community supporters, will host a Back to School Bash and supply hundreds of backpacks and supplies to Wayne County students ahead of their first day of school.

On Friday, August 18th from 5 p.m. to 7 pm. families can expect to receive a backpack for their child along with many much-needed school supplies, community resources, and generous donations from food vendors and community service vendors. Parents and their children can also look forward to entertainment activities for the kids and live music.

Donations are being accepted in preparation for the event to include: notebook paper, composition books, spiral notebooks, pocket folders, pencils, pens, erasers, crayons, colored pencils, rulers, highlighters, glue sticks, or a monetary donation.

Donation drop-boxes can be found at Worrell Contracting Inc., Studio 2906, Curtis Media Group, Arts Council of Wayne County, InMotion Entertainment, Radiant Serenity Spa, Southeast Family Pharmacy, JMA Placement, Goldsboro Counseling Center, Jernigan Furniture, and Eli’s Friends.
