Wayne County Post 11 opened the postseason with a 10-0, five-inning win over Durham Post 416 in game one of their Area I West semifinal series.
Durham forfeited the remainder of the series and Post 11 advances to the Area I West finals to face either Fuquay-Varina or Louisburg.
Carter Gipson earned the win on the mound for Wayne County. Gipson scattered three hits and recorded three strikeouts.
Davis Albert led Post 11 offensively with four RBI.
Post 11 improved to 27-3 and earned its fourth straight shutout.
