Dorothy Lynn Martin Elmo, Goldsboro resident and native of the White Flash/Blizzard’s Crossroads area near Mount Olive passed away Thursday evening, June 29, 2023.

Lynn attended B.F. Grady School and graduated from East Duplin High School in 1978.  She furthered her education at Mount Olive College and Atlantic Christian College, obtaining both a bachelor’s and master’s degree.  She had been employed as an accountant for all of her working career and had just recently joined forces with Nova, Inc. in Goldsboro.

A service to remember Lynn’s life will be Monday, July 3, at 6:00 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive.  Following the service, there will be a time of visitation.  While flowers are welcome, memorial gifts are suggested to be made to Wayne County Animal Shelter (1600 Clingman St., Goldsboro NC 27530, because of Lynn and the family’s love for animals, or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center (107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534), because of Lynn’s dedication in volunteering at the facility.

Lynn leaves behind her sister, Barbara Martin Musselman, and husband, John, of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; a nephew, Jordan Musselman with Michelle Corriveau, both of Charlotte; a niece, Marissa Musselman of Atlanta, Ga.; an aunt and several cousins and their families who meant a lot to Lynn.

Her parents were Dorothy “Priss” Blizzard Martin and George B. Martin, both now deceased.
