June 26, 2023, 68, Princeton –

Lynwood Earl Hargis, 68, of Princeton, passed away at his home on Monday, June 26, 2023, surrounded by his family.  Lynwood was born in Carteret County on November 16, 1954, to the late James Edward Hargis and Mary Jane Sanders Uzzell.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy, Clarence, and Baby Infant Hargis.

First and foremost, Lynwood loved his family.  He loved going to the beach when he could.  He also loved to go fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Wallace Hargis; son, Christopher Lynn Hargis of the home; daughter, Bridget Nicole Hargis Corbett (Dustin); grandchildren, Luke Corbett and Baylor Corbett.

The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

A Private Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023.
