Steven E. Fromm, 71, fought the good fight and finished his course here on earth on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Steven was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Ethel Miller Fromm on October 7, 1951. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Fromm.

Steven considered the defining moments of his professional life to be those spent in the United States Air Force, where he retired after 21 years of service. He flew numerous sorties over North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He was especially marked by his international postings in this phase of his career and enjoyed sharing stories about his time overseas. After leaving the Air Force, Steven spent the rest of his professional life as a flight simulator instructor for various Air Force affiliates. He retired in 2017 after many years of dedicated service.

Steven was a true Buckeye sports fan and enjoyed pulling for his favorite team, The Ohio State University.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Steven’s life at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ken Jefferson officiating. Interment with military honors will also be held on Wednesday at 12:00 noon in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.

Steven is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce Anderson Fromm; daughter, Heather Fromm Greene and husband, Russ; son, Zachary Fromm; grandchildren, Carter Greene, Harper Lee Greene, Paisley Fromm, and Conrad Fromm; sisters, Janet, Annette, and Paula; brother, Anthony Fromm; and a cousin that he loved as his brother, Tim Patch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to the American Diabetes Association.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
