Danny B. Mitchell, 72, of York, SC passed away Wednesday at Aldersgate Hospice House in Charlotte. Formerly of Dudley, he was the son of the late Zebedee and Alberta Barwick Mitchell. Danny B. was a retired land surveyor and enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting, as well as reading and watching races on television.

A graveside service will be held on Monday in the Mitchell Family Cemetery on Mitchell Road in Dudley at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Danny B. is survived by his sisters, Brenda Livingston of Weddington, NC, and Margaret Mitchell of Costa Mesa, CA; brothers, Jesse Mitchell of Dudley, Wilbert Mitchell of Goldsboro, Jackie Mitchell of Dudley, and Bobby Mitchell of Seven Springs.

Brothers, Frank and James Mitchell preceded him in death.
