Dalton Ray Hamm, 69, of Mount Olive died Friday evening as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Dalton is survived by his two sons; Dalton Ray Hamm, Jr., of Mount Olive, and Jonathan Hamm and his wife Lindsey, of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Maddox and Hunter Hamm, and Colt Bunn; a brother, Bobby Hamm of Rocky Mount; and a sister, Gracie Bryant of Smithfield. Dalton is also survived by his ex-wife, and mother to his boys, Pamela Hamm of Mount Olive.

Dalton was preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Eileen Coker Hamm.

Dalton was an Army veteran and took great pride in serving his country. He also loved spending time at Sneads Ferry where he loved fishing and being on the water. Dalton was also a good handyman, where he could do almost anything with wood or mechanically. He used his skills while he had been employed at Georgia Pacific in Dudley as an Electrician.

A Memorial Service to remember Dalton’s life will be held on Saturday, June 17 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, at Jone’s Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with Military honors. A time of visitation will follow the service.
