Smoke Alarm Saturday

Smoke Alarm Saturday

Saturday, June 3rd was marked as Smoke Alarm Saturday, a day when fire departments across North Carolina unite to provide home fire alarm tests and installations upon request throughout their communities. The Arrington Fire Department is no exception, as their firefighters prepare to leave their station Saturday morning to install new alarms in homes within their community.

Chief Randy Rogers reported that they have received 20 requests for smoke alarm installations, which their firefighters will install and test. These new smoke alarms are designed to last for a decade, providing long-lasting protection for families and their homes. As a professional fire department, we take pride in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community members, and we encourage all residents to take advantage of this opportunity to safeguard their homes against potential fire hazards.
