Cynthia Meeks Johnson, 66, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Goldsboro Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Born in San Antonio, Texas on October 18, 1956, she was the daughter of the late John Berry Meeks, Jr. and Doris Smith Meeks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daryl Johnson.

Cynthia is survived by her son, Bobby Johnson, and wife, Sarah of La Grange; daughter, Becky Johnson of Raleigh; grandchildren Ruby and Lilly Johnson; sister, Ruth Price, and husband, Tony of Goldsboro; niece, Misty Sisco; and nephew, Todd Price.

Cynthia had worked for many years at Wayne Memorial Hospital in the billing department. She attended Cornerstone Church in Goldsboro and Garris Chapel Church in La Grange.

Cynthia’s outgoing personality afforded her many friends, she never met a stranger. Family was paramount to Cynthia, she loved each of them, especially her granddaughters, Ruby and Lilly.

A service to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be held at a later date.
