After four years, Wings Over Wayne returned to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. The largest airshow in North Carolina saw a large crowds for the opening day. Saturday mornings cloud coverage cleared in time for the show to begin.
Demonstrations by Jelly Belly, Third Strike Wingwalking, Tora, Tora, Tora, and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels had observers looking toward the sky in awe. Seymour Johnson Air Force F-15 filled the air with the powerful sound of freedom.
On Sunday, the rain stayed away but the clouds and cooler winds remained. The weather didn’t stop the crowds from experiencing excitement, food, and displays.
