Linda Pittman Bunn joined the heavenly choir on May 14, 2023. She was born in Wayne County to the late Eldridge and Elizabeth Pittman on February 20, 1944. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bunn, and two brothers, Kay and Robert Pittman.

Linda married the love of her life, Bobby, and together they raised three children and built a successful business, Rosewood Farm Supply, servicing farmers in the area. She further served the American farmer through more than 25 years of service at the Wayne County Agricultural Fair.

Never meeting a stranger, she lived the Biblical principle, Love God and Love People. She loved her family, community, and church, serving more than 40 years at Pleasant Hill FWB Church. Linda will be most remembered for her card ministry. She took pride in putting a smile on someone’s face, faithfully serving those around her.

Linda’s commitment to hard work and service to others shined in all things she did. She enjoyed singing, cooking, and cheering on her dear NC State Wolfpack. Many remember rising early to work in the field just to make sure they finished before game time, especially during the days of David Thompson and Jimmy V. She embodied his mantra, “Don’t give up, don’t ever give up.”

Linda is survived by her children: Andy Bunn and wife, Holly; Lisa Bailes and husband, David; and Cori Hughes and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Drew Bunn and wife, Jessica; Zack Bunn; Tyler Bowen; Dylan and Caleb Hughes; two great-grandchildren, Andersen and Julie Bunn; and a sister, Jane Thomas.

A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with her son, Andy Bunn, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill FWB Church Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Falls Run Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fredericksburg, VA, for their kindness and excellent care for Linda.
