Late Saturday afternoon firefighters from Arrington Fire Department responded to the scene of a two vehicle crash on Emmaus Church Road and Stagecoach Lane. As firefighters arrived on the scene one of the vehicles involved in a two vehicle crash was engulfed in flames. Both drivers of the vehicles managed to get out unharmed before a fire unit arrived on the scene.
The Volkswagen car was heading south on Emmaus Church Road toward Dudley while the other white car was heading north toward Goldsboro. The two vehicles collided when the driver of the Volkswagen attempted to make a left hand turn onto Stagecoach Lane in front of the oncoming vehicle and was struck in the passenger side of the vehicle. Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident and charges are pending.
