Edward Lee “Eddie” Bass, Jr., 54, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Born in Wayne County on March 14, 1969, he was the son of the late Edward Lee, Sr., and Carol Register Bass.

Eddie is survived by his former wife and friend, Leticia Lewis Bass; cousins, Rusty Wiggins, Rebecca W. “Becky” Tyndall, Lynn W. Smith, Tim Stanley, Kim S. Howery, and Miranda B. Thorne; his lifetime friend, Ricky Bartholomew, and his family; several other extended family members; and his beloved canine companions, Jesse and Josie.

Eddie was passionate about weightlifting, something he enjoyed all of his life. He was an avid sports fan, pulling for his favorite teams, the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Carolina Tarheels.

Eddie was employed as a production technician with Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies USA Inc.

In years past, Eddie attended Eureka Christian Church in the Grantham Community.

A service to celebrate Eddie’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Purvis officiating. Interment will follow at the Princeton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Friday in the hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
