Sunday afternoon firefighters from Pricetown and Seven Springs Fire Departments responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 55 East and Atlas Price Road. Several EMS units from the county also responded to the scene. Six patients were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to be checked out. One travel lane was blocked by the accident.

The silver vehicle was heading west on NC 55 approaching the intersection when a red truck heading south on Allen Smith Road collided at the intersection of NC 55 East and Atlas Price Road. Firefighters set up traffic control throughout the scene. The accident is under investigation by the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
