Robert Quincey Peacock, Jr., 52, passed away at UNC Rex Health Care on Friday, May 5, 2023. He was born on August 26, 1970, in Johnston County to Dorothy Marie Capps Peacock and the late Robert Quincey Peacock, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Johnathan Cummings.
Mr. Peacock worked in construction for many years. He loved Dale Earnhardt, Jr., cookouts with friends and family, Bud Light, Lynard Skynyrd, and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hopkins of Clayton; daughter, Amber Peacock (Koty Bowen) of Goldsboro; son, Jacob Heath (Mandy Cook) of Selma; grandson, Robert Lee Heath of Wilson’s Mills; mother, Dorothy Marie Capps Peacock; sisters, Roberta Wright (Paul) of Rocky Mount, Tammy Cummings (Donald) of Smithfield, Dorothy Ross (Johnny Capps) of Selma; brother, Ricky Ross of Smithfield; 7 nephews; 7 nieces; many cousins and friends and his dogs, B. J. and Baby.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering on May 20th from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the residence of Patricia Hopkins, 1021 Hazel St., Clayton, NC 27527.
