United Way Teams up with the City of Goldsboro

United Way of Wayne County is teaming up with the City of Goldsboro to serve as the City’s Third-Party Administrator to handle their annual Non-Profit Organization(NPO) funding distribution.

Annually, the City of Goldsboro strives to support the services provided by local non-profits that positively impact the citizens of Goldsboro.  From basic needs to education to creating a healthy community and an improved quality of life; the City’s mission to promote equality and protect the well-being of all residents is supported by this annual evaluation of Non-Profit allocations.

In an effort to avoid political or personal bias and utilize tax dollars most efficiently and effectively, the City has contracted the United Way of Wayne County to provide the services and recommendations of their annual allocations.

The United Way of Wayne County will open the first step Application, prequalification, on Wednesday, May 10th by posting the application, in a fillable form, alongside the City of Goldsboro’s NPO Notice of Funding Opportunity, to the United Way of Wayne County’s website.  www.unitedwayne.org.

The amount allocated to distribute to non-profits has not been determined as of yet, the City Council is thoughtfully considering the amount to allocate as they prepare to approve the FY 23_24 budget.

Any questions regarding the City of Goldsboro’s annual NPO allocations can be directed to the United Way of Wayne County.

The two-step process will close June 7th with recommendations presented to the Council in July.
