Kiwanis Miniature Train Reopens with New & Improved Station

A year in the making and the Kiwanis Miniature Train reopens with a new and improved train station. After removing the former roof, adding a new roof with an overhang, a brick patio, and new railroad ties were worked on through out 2022 and into 2023.

The Kiwanis Miniature Train is a Goldsboro legend. Since the Kiwanis Club of Goldsboro purchased the train for use in Herman Park in 1955, the little engine and its two cars have carried families around the track every summer. This original train operated for 68 years in Herman Park and was sold and moved to Vermont. The new train arrived in May of 2022 and began operation Memorial Day weekend.

Volunteers from businesses, and the community have helped create this treasure for people to enjoy for the next 100 years.
