Mrs. Shirley J. Richardson, 73, was welcomed home by his heavenly father on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 am at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy’s Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a chapel viewing held on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117, Dudley, NC.

She was born on February 18, 1950, in Wayne County, NC to Freddie Lee Jones and Singer Bell Jackson Jones. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Harold Cleven Richardson Sr.; her father, Freddie L. Jones; her children; siblings and other loving relatives and friends.
