Sidney Paul Webber

Sidney Paul Webber

April 27, 2023, 87, Goldsboro –

Sidney Paul Webber, 87, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Wayne County to the late Roland and Vivian Grant Webber on September 27, 1935.

Sidney grew up with the life he was made for. With a love for the land and a steward at heart, he was born to care for God’s good creation. There was nothing better to Sidney than driving around admiring the fields and watching the crops grow. It was special to him to know he had a hand in creating food to feed others. Agriculture ran through his veins.

Farming is about watching God at work and surrendering to what he provides. He learned many lessons in the fields which shaped his life. Sidney was a member of New Hope Friends Church. It was the place he worshiped and served the Lord.

Sidney loved his family and was grateful for the time spent with them. He taught them the value of hard work and appreciation for all God had given. He was blessed with many who loved and cared for him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at New Hope Friends Church followed by a service to celebrate Sidney’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Andrew Hise officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in New Hope Friends Cemetery.
