Rhonda Elfriede Blizzard Sutton, 48, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in Raleigh. Born in Wayne County on May 21, 1974, she was the daughter of Carmen O’Quinn and the late Kenneth Blizzard.

Rhonda was very skilled as an artist. Whether it was painting or drawing, she could make each picture come alive with her abilities. Rhonda was also known to write beautiful poetry. Rhonda could oftentimes be seen enjoying her favorite flower, roses. Nothing in this world made her happier than her son. Rhonda will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, and sister.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.

In addition to her mother, Rhonda is survived by her sons, Kenneth Sutton, Carlton Warren, and Cameron Blizzard; siblings, Michelle Richardson and husband, Joseph, Sabrina Taylor and friend, Jeremy Cross, Robert O’Quinn, and Derrick Warren and wife, Roshanda Smith; nieces and nephews, Scooter Richardson, Michael Richardson, Tyler Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Joshua Frizzelle, Justin Frizzelle, and Amber O’Quinn.

In addition to her father, Rhonda is preceded in death by her sister, Yevette Blizzard.
