Patricia Jones Skinner passed away peacefully at Kitty Askins Hospice Center on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Pat was born in Duplin County to the late Lonnie McCoy Jones and Olive Grady Jones.

Pat had an eye for antiques and could pick some of the most beautiful pieces. She was known for her outgoing personality and willingness to help others find just the right addition to their home. Antiques were her passion and she was grateful to be able to do this with her life. Pat had her own collection of dolls and teddy bears that she treasured. She also served as a secretary at Walters Insurance Agency but was most excited about her hobby.

As much as Pat enjoyed the hunt for good antiques, nothing compared to her time with Weylin. They were married for 41 years and were made for each other. Weylin and Pat made quite the life together and enjoyed every moment shared – the good, the not-so-good, and everything in between. She was Weylin’s rock and he loved taking care of her. In the last few months of her life, Weylin made sure Pat didn’t want anything. Pat dearly loved her family and missed her parents. She always wanted to give her best.

A Graveside Service to remember Pat will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:00 am at Fairview Cemetery in La Grange. The family will greet friends following the service.

Pat is survived by her husband, Weylin C Skinner; brothers, Ronnie Jones and Tom Jones (Lou); several nieces and nephews, and a special friend who helped to make sure she was cared for, Donna Corbin. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Allen Jones, and a sister, Barbara Jean Jones.
