Rosetta “Rosie” Wheeler Colvin, 82, passed away at her home on April 13, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born in Hodgenville, KY on September 10, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Sam Wheeler and Fannie Peace Wheeler.

Rosie was an avid sports fan. For many years, she kept stats of countless games. Whether it was football, basketball, or baseball, Rosie was right there with a keen eye on the action. Rosie was a staple in the Pikeville community. She was the curator of the Pikeville Museum and loved her community.

For Rosie, the family was paramount. She loved nothing more than being able to get together and spend time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandbabies. Rosie will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

A graveside service to celebrate Rosie’s life will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Andy Stovall presiding. The family will receive friends immediately following the service by the graveside.

Rosie is survived by her children, Cat Colvin, Cindy Barnes and husband, John, and Rich Colvin and wife, Carol; grandchildren, Matt Milligan and wife, Melissa, Troy Colvin, Travis Milligan and wife, Dani, Brett Colvin, Chad Colvin, Kyle Colvin, and Madison Ricketts; great-grandchildren, Kaidyn Milligan, Maddox Milligan, Preston Ricketts, Peyton Milligan (aka Monkey) and Hensley Brown; siblings, Phil Wheeler and Don Wheeler; and close friend, David Bissette.

In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Colvin.
