The Founder’s Cup is Friday

The Founder’s Cup Golf Tournament is Friday, April 21, but there’s still time to get a team together.

It’s time to tee up and enjoy a day at Walnut Creek Country Club and a round of golf on the greens. The Founder’s Cup Golf Tournament benefits the United Way of Wayne County.

The Tournament is a SuperBall format and includes breakfast between 7:00 am and 8:00 am served by Panera Bread and lunch served from noon to 1:00 pm courtesy of Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes, and Fries. There is still room at both tee times, so players can take to the course for an 8:00 am and a 1:00 pm shotgun start.

Golfers can play to win in the Putt for Dough Contest as well as two non-Hole in One on-course challenge; the Closest to the Pin and the Longest Drive, and more! Golfers can also enter a raffle to win prizes (Costa sunglasses, ProV1 gift basket, Scotty Cameron Headcover, and more!)! Prizes will be offered to winning teams in two divisions – net & gross scores. We’re also excited to have Matthews Motors sponsoring a Hole-in-One prize! Golfers can step up to the tee box on the 9th hole and aim for the pin for a chance to win a car!

This is the twenty-fourth year that the community has come out to support United Way of Wayne County’s efforts to change lives while relaxing in a semi-competitive environment. Revenues generated benefit local programming and projects. United Way of Wayne County believes that together we can improve lives here in our community and by investing to impact people’s futures we can change lives for generations and build a strong community for all of us.

The Founder’s Cup Golf Tournament is a great way to entertain a customer, reward staff for a job well done, or just get out of the office with key staff or friends while supporting United Way of Wayne County at the same time! Be sure to register your team ASAP to be able to participate! You DON’T want to miss this!
