April 12, 2023, 91, Seven Springs –

Eva Grady Barwick of the Seven Springs area, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 12, 2023. She was 91. 

Services to celebrate the life that she lived will be Friday, April 14, at 6:00 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, and will be officiated by Pastor Doug Johnson.  Following the service, the family will receive friends.  Also, friends and relatives are welcome to call at the home of Mrs. Barwick.

A committal service with burial will be Saturday, April 15, at 3:00 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery.

Mrs. Barwick remembered as a hard-working homemaker and farmer on the family farm, was a good steward within her community. In her retirement years, she assisted with the operation at Griffin’s Plant Farm.

She was a long-time member of Zion Methodist Church.

Surviving her are her children and their spouses, Dianne Barwick Bell and Joseph W. Bell of Pollocksville, and Bennie W. Barwick and Valerie Tew Barwick, of Seven Springs; three grandchildren, Margaret Anne Bell Ross and husband, Adam, of Pollocksville, Madisen Alene Barwick and Jensen William Barwick, both of Seven Springs; a great-grandson, Abel Gray Ross of Pollocksville; a sister, Laura Ruth G. Haskins of Trenton; and several nieces and nephews.

After having lived a long and productive life, she now joins in heaven her husband, Norman Dee “Knott” Barwick; her parents, Ben W. and Cora Bennett Grady; and a sister, Dorothy G. Alphin.
