Matthews Motors and United Way Challenge Golfers

United Way of Wayne County is excited to announce Matthews Motors as an official hole-in-one sponsor for the Annual Founder’s Cup Golf Tournament on April 21st at Walnut Creek Country Club! “Every year we strive to improve the tournament experience for our teams from the previous year and this year is no exception,” stated Resource Development Director, Savannah Lambert.

Thanks to this partnership with Matthews Motors, a vehicle will be placed on the 9th hole at Walnut Creek Country Club throughout the entire tournament.

Golfers will be able to step up to the tee box and try to hit their ball the 165 yards toward the pin with the hopes of landing that sacred hole-in-one. Sherry Archibald, Executive Director, says, “We couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration with Matthews Motors and we hope the players are as thrilled as we are. We know when each team drives up to the course on April 21st and sees that car sitting on the 9th hole, they won’t be able to wait to get out on the green!”

This is the twenty-fourth year that the community has come out to support United Way of Wayne County’s efforts to change lives while relaxing in a semi-competitive environment. Revenues generated benefit local programming and projects. United Way of Wayne County believes that together we can improve lives here in our community and by investing to impact people’s futures we can change lives for generations and build a strong community for all of us.

If you want to try your hand at a hole-in-one, there are still some slots available on the roster.
