Kitty Bridgers Glover, 76, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at UNC Wayne Health. Born in Wilson County on November 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late James Willard and Ruth Harrell Bridgers.

Kitty is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Joy Glover and Ashley and Reagan Glover; grandchildren, Bradley Glover, Taylor Glover, Cale Glover, and Ainsley Glover; sisters, Angie Bailey and husband, Glenn, and Cherie Jordan; brother, Randy Bridgers; several nieces and nephews; and her friend and companion, Worth Overman.

Kitty worked in the banking industry for over 45 years, having worked with BB&T, The Heritage Bank, and Southern Bank. Her friendly demeanor and kind smile gleaned her countless friends during her banking career. Kitty was a lifetime member of the Fremont Volunteer Rescue Squad where she served 25 years as an EMT. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Pleasant Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Kitty loved her Lord and Savior, her family, and her friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she relished every moment spent with them.

A graveside service to celebrate Kitty’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Pikeville Cemetery with Pastor Barry Stallings and Pastor Caleb Hines officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and at other times at the home of Brian and Joy Glover.
