Mollie Lane Gurley, born, on April 26, 1930, 92 years old, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday surrounded by her family.  Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Lane and Gladys Best Lane and wife of the late Adam Daniel (A.D.) Gurley who she was married to for 63 years. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. She was a 1975 honor graduate of Wayne Community College graduating with a degree in accounting. Mollie was a member of the Mount Olive Presbyterian Church, Woodman of the World, and the Mount Olive Pickle Kickers. Mollie worked for Jefferies Cabinet Company for over twenty years.

A service to celebrate the well-lived life of Mollie will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Dail officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. A committal service will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at Pineview Cemetery near Seven Springs.

Mollie is survived by a  sister,  Ann Smith, a brother, Willard Lane, and his wife, Becky. She is also survived by a son, John Gurley, and his wife, Barbie of Goldsboro; her daughters, Peggy Kleinfelter of Greenville SC, Mollie (Liz) Mitchell of Raleigh  & Alice Ballew of Mt. Olive; her grandchildren, Laura Riemensnider and husband RJ,  Adam Kleinfelter and wife Brooke, Katherine Mitchell, Chris Gurley, Jordan Gurley, Amy Robinson, and Amanda Creech, her great-grandchildren, Chloe Robinson, Aynslee Gurley, Mollie, Cooper and Maggie Kleinfelter, and Robert Riemensnider; along with numerous nieces and nephews who fondly called her Aunt Mollie.
