An investigation is underway in the death of a 7-month old boy in thre City of Goldsboro.

Sunday afternoon at approximately 1:26 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department were dispatched to UNC Health Wayne for a report of a child death. Upon arrival, officers spoke with medical staff who informed them that a 7-month-old male was brought by his parents to the Emergency Department, where he was pronounced deceased.
The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau responded to the scene.

Police say the investigation is still developing.
