Shortly before noon Monday, firefighters from Mar-Mac, Dudley, Arrington, Thoroughfare and Mount Olive along with EMS Station 3 responded to a working structure fire on Sundance Place between Durham Lake Road and Sandhill Drive.

Firefighters used several small attack hand lines to gain control over the blaze. The office’s OES was called to assist in the search for the cause of the fire. According to fire officials, the cause of the fire was believed to be an electrical short. No one was injured.
