Edna Earle Warren Jennette, 79, passed away at Wayne UNC Health Care on Friday, March 3, 2023. Born and raised in Wayne County, she was the daughter of Earl Warren and the late Edna Alford Warren.

Edna was a homemaker for most of her life. She had a special knack for writing poetry. Edna could pick up a pen and paper and gracefully write a beautiful poem in no time. Nothing would please Edna more than being able to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Edna and all of her grandchildren had a special bond that could never be broken. She will forever be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law.

A service to celebrate Edna’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Interment service will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to her father, Edna is survived by her loving husband, Robert Arlis Jennette; son, Robert Jennette and wife, Susan; daughter, Tammy Jennette Williams, and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Sherry Jennette and fiancé, Michael Heath, Robbie Jennette, and wife, Nicole, Matthew Jennette, Timothy Williams, and wife, Caylee, and Kayela Williams Coker and husband, Hudson. Edna is also survived by her first great-grandchild due later this year.

In addition to her mother, Edna is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Warren, and wife Bonnie.
