Rudolph Gerald Davis, 72, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill. Born in Wayne County on December 19, 1950, he was the son of Dollie Ginn Davis and the late Dillard Rudolph Davis.

Gerald is survived by his mother, Dollie Ginn Davis Bryant, and husband, Rev. Marvin Bryant of Dunn; son, Chris Burrell of Little River, SC; sister, Sheryl Holland and husband, Tony of Charlotte; brother, Glen Davis of Havelock; nieces and nephews, Justin Davis and Taylor Davis (Rachel), Jenny Dryer and Tonya Jose (Mike); and great niece and nephews, London, Luca, and Jaxon.

Gerald proudly served his state and country as a member of the North Carolina National Guard and as a member of the United States Air Force.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Gerald’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Preston Heath officiating. Interment will follow in the Silas Pike Family Cemetery in Pikeville.
