Shane Adam Hartley

February 16, 2023, 23, Goldsboro –

Shane Adam Hartley, 23, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Savior and quickly embraced by those who had gone before him on Thursday, February 16, 2023. Shane was born in Lexington, South Carolina to Jason Adam Hartley and Tina Michelle Collins Johnston on October 1, 1999.

Spending time with his family on the family farm in Fremont brought ultimate joy to Shane. Staying in the family home with his grandparents, Wanda and Randy, he was surrounded by those he loved dearly. Helping to take care of things around the house, hunting, or hanging out with his friends was all he needed to have the best day. The constant smile on his face was a reminder of the precious gift the family had for him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 20, 2023, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Shane’s life at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Stovall officiating.

In addition to his parents, Shane is survived by his paternal grandparents, Wanda, and Randy Slapper; maternal grandparents, James and Gloria Collins; step-father, Tommy Johnston; brother, Jesse Hartley, and sister, Brooke Calvert.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Shane’s memory to
