Scott Allen Davis, 51, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Wayne County on October 3, 1971, he was the son of Marie Hales Davis of Goldsboro and the late Kenneth Wayne Davis, Sr.

In addition to his father, Scott was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Ashley Brooks Tillett-Wall.

In addition to his mother, Scott is survived by his daughters, Macy Davis Smith (Chris) and Audrey Davis; son, Ashton Davis; sister, Sherry Ballance (Terry Cline); brother, Kenneth Wayne Davis, Jr. (Carla); nephew, Jon Howell; and niece, Krystal Cooper.

Scott had worked in new home construction prior to working with Sanderson Farms. He was passionate about car racing having raced at Southern National Motorsports Park in Lucama, Coastal Plains Raceway in Jacksonville, and Wayne County Drag Strip in Pikeville. Scott also enjoyed watching NASCAR.

A service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Christian Powell and Rev. Walter Sloan officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday during the hour prior to the service.
