On Thursday evening, February 9, 2023, Patsy Coble, loving wife, and mother of two children passed away at the age of 81. She was surrounded by her beloved family as she crossed into heaven into the hands of her loving father. Patsy was born on November 27, 1941, to Rudolph and Bertha Privette Best in Goldsboro NC. Patsy was a 1960 graduate of Goldsboro High School. Patsy lived and worked in Goldsboro NC most of her life in the field of Bookkeeping. Patsy retired in 2005 from Fork Township Water Department.

Patsy was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church and the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She loved her church and was a faithful member. She also loved the friendship and fellowship of her “card ladies”. They played every Thursday afternoon and in her latter years, this was many times the highlight of her week. Patsy loved her church and loved the Lord.

Patsy will be remembered as a loving and loyal wife, fun-loving friend, animal lover, great sister and aunt, a wonderful mother, and as her grandchildren would tell you the greatest Grandma on earth. Patsy loved her animals from cats to dogs, she never met an animal that she couldn’t win over with her love. Pasty was also an avid basketball fan, and she loved her Duke Blue Devils!!

Patsy and Tony married on August 12, 1978. They were happily married for 44 years. They shared a life of love for their children and grandchildren. They loved attending all things involving their grandchildren, especially their sporting events, she was always their biggest fan.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Bertha Best, and her brother Rudy Best. She is survived by her husband Tony Coble of the home, daughters, and son-in-laws Beth and Eugene Jones of Goldsboro, and Paige and Andy Hartley also of Goldsboro. Grandchildren Eric and Brandy Jones of Kenly, Bryan and Christy Jones of Newton Grove, Adam Hartley of Lanscomb California, and Zach Hartley of Concord NC. Great grandchildren Ansley Jones, Lane Jones, Emma Jones, Bennett Jones, Raylee, and Reed Gurley. She is also survived by her loving friend and sister Linda and Maurice Dubois, her loving brothers Donny and Jerrie Best of Greenville and Edgar and Linda Best of Goldsboro NC, and her loyal companions, Katie and Louise. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Vernon Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Princeton.
