February 8, 2023, 65, Goldsboro –

Sharon Marie Langston, 65, of Goldsboro passed away Wednesday morning, February 8, 2023, at Duke Raleigh Hospital.

The funeral service will be held Monday, February 13, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  Burial will follow at Pikeville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 1:45 p.m.

Mrs. Langston was born in Alaska on August 9, 1957, to the late Alexis and Elaine Mooney.  Sharon was a beloved wife, mother, and friend. She loved being with family and friends. She also loved going to the beach, and boat rides on the coast and enjoyed cooking her favorite meal, a low country boil. Also, Sharon had a long and accomplished career in Tech and Banking as a Global Marketing Manager. She is in the arms of Jesus, and we know we will see her again one day.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lynwood L. Langston Jr.; two sons, Erik Langston and wife, Leisha of Wilmington and Trent Langston and wife, Liziel of California; one daughter, Lauren Rodgers and husband, Scott of Raleigh; one brother, Michael Monney and wife, Connie of Raleigh; one sister, Debra “Debbie” Mooney of Raleigh; one granddaughter, Lilliana Langston; her beloved dog, Stella and her beloved cats, Prissy, Annie and Pudge.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
