Lieutenant Nicole “Nikki” McClary Reid

Lieutenant Nicole “Nikki” McClary Reid, 52, of Goldsboro went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro.

A viewing will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with the family present from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. Homegoing service will be held Sunday, February 11, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory with Apostle Daniel Uzzell officiating. The interment will be held at Golden Gate Cemetery in Pikeville.

Mrs. Reid was born in Wayne County on May 3, 1970. She was a member of Wave of Glory Church Ministries in Goldsboro. Mrs. Reid (also known as Nikki) served as Lieutenant with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department with 20 years of loyal and dedicated service. She will be deeply missed by all. In her free time, she loved her family especially her eight grandchildren and one on the way she was anticipating! She will be remembered for her passion for shopping and love of arts and crafts.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Dennis Reid; one son, Javonta Dunn of Savannah, Georgia; two daughters, Antonee’ Lofton (Raheem) and J’Kayla Sutton, (Rico); two brothers, Eric McClary of Goldsboro and Victor McClary of Lexington, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Malachi, Caden, Amaree, Brielle, Zion, Seven, Jamari, Jamel and one on-the-way, Ayce (Peanut); her mother-in-law, Gladys Reid of Goldsboro; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends.

Mrs. Reid was preceded in death by her mother, Elma Doris McClary; her father, Clayton E. Beamon and her brother, Michael McClary.
