Ronald Lee Morgan, 63, of Smithfield passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Durham VA Health Care.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 10, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro with military honors.

Ronald was born May 27, 1959, in Ohio. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. After serving his country, Ron spent most of his life as a satellite engineer. He owned and operated Morgan’s Satellite Service in Smithfield.

Ron, affectionately known as Ronbo, loved to golf, grill out, ride his four-wheeler, but most importantly spend time with his family. Ron was also a talented guitarist.

Before his death, Ron accepted Christ as his Savior. His family takes great comfort in knowing that they will see him again.

He is survived by his mother, Louetta Morgan of Goldsboro; three sisters, Patty Gray and husband, Donnie of Wilson, Marcia O’ York and husband, Larry of Virginia and Cheryl Andras and husband, Jeff of Rocky Mount and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Max Morgan.

Services are entrusted to the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
