David Thomas Luper, 53, of Pikeville went to be with his Heavenly Father Friday, February 3, 2023, at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service.

David was born in Johnston County on January 19, 1970, to Marjorie Luper of Kenly and the late William Thomas Luper.

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Donna Goff Luper; two daughters, Kimberly Barnett and husband, Joseph of Rosewood and Stephanie Thomas and husband, Dylan of Kenly; one brother, Billy Luper and wife, Kathy of Kenly; the lights of his life, his six grandchildren, EmmaLeigh, Elijah, Christian, Ariah, Katana, and Judson. David is also survived by his father-in-law, Reverend Wayne Goff, and wife, Angela, and his brother-in-law, Michael Goff, and wife, Katie, and their children, Mikey and Brittany.

In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Faye Goff.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
