Barbara Ann Turnage Williamson, 78, of Princeton passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at her home.  She was born in Wilson County on December 9, 1944, to the late James Henry Turnage and Liberty Love Baker Turnage.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, LaFayette Williamson, Jr., a brother, Wesley Turnage, and a great-grandson, Brayden Jordan.

Ms. Barbara was a member of the Princeton Baptist Church, serving in the LLLs, as a Sunday School Teacher, and as Summer Bible School Leader. She also served on the Princeton Improvement Women’s Club and was a Boy Scout Leader.  She took care of the concessions at the Little League ballfield and provided child care for a number of years in her home.

She is survived by sons, Jim Williamson (Deanne) of Raleigh, and Kent Williamson (Lisa) of Brentwood, TN; daughter, April Williamson of Princeton; grandchildren, Camille Jordan (Quint), Dr. Kelsey Williamson, Troy Williamson (Jenny), and Reed Williamson; great-grandchildren, Lacey Jordan, Henry Jordan and Allison Williamson; and sister, Myrtle Turnage of Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023, with the Reverend Dwayne Batten officiating.  A private burial will be held in Princeton Cemetery.
