Drivers will encounter closures along Woodland Church Road starting Monday to allow for drainage pipe replacements.

Maintenance crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to replace several pipes that have begun to fail along this road, which stretches from Old Grantham Road and U.S. 13 in the Mar-Mac community.

Local access will be maintained for Woodland Church Road, but others will need to take U.S. 117 to avoid the closures.

NCDOT anticipates the work taking one to two weeks to complete, weather permitting. Woodland Church Road will be resurfaced following this pipe work.
