January 22, 1942 – January 29th, 2023

On Sunday, January 29th, Leo Hinson passed away at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pennsylvania. He was eighty-one. Born to the late Gladys and Hermon Hinson, Leo grew up in Seven Springs, North Carolina. He moved to Farmville, North Carolina as a young man where he farmed for several decades. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy and Norwood Hinson; and daughter, Suzanna Weil. He is survived by his daughter, Lea Layne Davis; his daughter, Jan Epps, and son-in-law, John Epps; his son, Daniel Hinson, and daughter-in-law, Wendy Hinson; four grandsons: Alex, Josh, Dylan, and Jaymen; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 5th, at 2:00 PM at Rouse Funeral Home in La Grange, North Carolina with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at the Seven Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Flowers are welcome or memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
