Janet Stevens Price Britt Williamson, 91, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, while being cared for at Goldsboro Assisted Living.

Janet was born in Wayne County to the late George William Price and Leola Alice Stevens Price on October 12, 1931. She was married to the late C.A. Britt, Jr. and the late Baxter Williamson. Janet retired from Wayne County Public Schools after having worked in the cafeteria of Grantham School and Southern Wayne High School for many years.

A member of Falling Creek Baptist Church, Janet faithfully attended services as long as she was able. Known by her family as an excellent cook, many enjoyed the meals prepared by her hands. For many years, Janet was a member of the Home Extension Club in the Grantham Community.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Falling Creek Baptist Church followed by a service to celebrate Janet’s life at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Robert Ellis officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery.

Janet is survived by her children, Phyllis Britt Dixon, Rita Williamson Tadlock, and Aubrey Williamson and wife, Carla; grandchildren, Renee Dixon White, Joseph Wayne Dixon II, Charles Baxter Williamson, Bryan Jacob Williamson, Phillip Brandon Williamson and Sterling Jamison Tadlock; and four great-grandchildren, Nicolas Al Ama, Joey Al Ama, Layla Dixon, and Rami Dixon.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, James Tadlock; grandson, James Wesley Tadlock; sister, Molly Ann Price Hood; and brother, Tommy Price.
