Floyd Coburn Wilt, 86, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC. Floyd was born in Grafton, West Virginia, on December 14, 1936. He relocated to Palm Bay, Florida, in 1965. Floyd retired from Harris Corporation, Facilities Department, in 1998, after 33 years of employment.

Floyd was a member of the Harbor City Masonic Lodge #318 A.F. & A.M., Lake Worth Scottish Rite, and The Azan Temple of Melbourne, Florida. He was also a member of the NRA and the AARP. Floyd volunteered with the Palm Bay Police Department in the VCOP program for 10 years. He and his wife relocated to Goldsboro, NC, in 2013 and began worshiping with the congregation at Pine Forest United Methodist Church.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Stephanie Goff Wilt; daughters, LaDonna Stewart and Kimberly Wilt of Mannington, WV; sons, David Wilt, and wife, Karen of Bruceton Mills, WV, and Floyd Wilt II and wife, Rita of Verona, Italy; step-sons, Marshall Sugg of Austin, TX and Martin Sugg of Tempe, AZ; and step-sisters, Carol Blanchard of Appling, GA and Nancy Domico and husband, Tony of Grafton, WV. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date in the sanctuary of Pine Forest United Methodist Church in Goldsboro, NC. Interment will also be at a later date in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Webster, WV.
