Donald Ray Raiford was born on February 2, 1968, to the late Jacob Leon and Cherrie Lee DeVaughn Raiford, in Wayne County, NC. He departed this life on January 7, 2023.

Reared in Goldsboro, NC, Donald Ray attended Wayne County Public Schools. He was the youngest of six children and worked for many years as a roofer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Leon and Cherrie Lee DeVaughn Raiford, and two brothers, Kenneth “Ookie” Raiford and Timothy “Redd” Raiford.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his daughters: Laketta Williams and Delonta Williams; three brothers: Derwood (Latonya) Altman of Bridgeport, CT, Jacob Leon Raiford, Jr. of Hartford, CT, John (Connie) Raiford of Goldsboro, NC; six grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends who loved him beyond measures.

There will be no funeral service held. 

A visitation will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 1 until 4 PM, at Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors and Cremations, LLC.
