December 23, 2022, 73, LaGrange –

Ronald “Red” Eldrige Jackson, 73, of LaGrange, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. Ronald was born in Hoke County on October 23, 1949, to the late Warren Harding Jackson, Sr., and Lillian Irene Moody Jackson.

In addition to his parents, Red is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Elizabeth Hardy Jackson; brother, James Daniel Jackson; sisters, Mary Emma Denning, Connie Rowe, Brenda Rodriguez, and Betty (Rudy) Jackson.

Red is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Aldred and husband Charles of LaGrange and Pamela Gail Wiggs of Princeton; grandchildren, Jessica Marie Jackson, Kimberly Mae Aldred, Sarah Elizabeth Aldred (Squirrell), Joshua Ryan Wiggs (TC), Jackson Malachai Sanderson (Slick); great-grandchildren, Madison Alise Enriquez and Gavin Cade Enriquez; brother, Warren Jackson, Jr. of Elizabeth City; sister, Joann Whitney of Dover, and several other family and friends. 

Red was a loving father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, watching old country westerns, and listening to Hank Williams, but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with Pastor Larry Hunt officiating. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton.
