December 23, 2022, 63, Mount Olive –

David Earl Coley, a lifelong resident of the Mount Olive area, passed away Friday night, December 23, 2022, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.  He was 63.  David had been employed with Goldsboro Milling Company for 32 years, earlier as a truck driver, and later as a mechanic.  He was a member of Great Commission Outreach, and had recently been attending Jones Memorial Community Church.

The family will be receiving friends at Tyndall Funeral Home on Monday, January 2, 2023 beginning at Noon, with graveside services to follow at 2 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery.

David is survived by his sisters and brother, Janice Coley Miller and husband, Travis, of Goldsboro, Bryant Coley and wife, Phyllis, of Mount Olive, and Patricia Ann Coley of Mount Olive; nephews and niece, Michael Miller and wife, Cassie, Morgan Coley Lee and husband, Brad, and Joshua Coley and wife, Kayla; and their children.

David’s parents, Dorothy Brock Coley and Kenneth Franklin Coley, preceded him in death.
