December 26, 2022, 60, Goldsboro –

Daniel Ray “Danny” Peardon, 60, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022, at UNC Wayne Hospital in Goldsboro. Born in Goldsboro on March 2, 1962, he was the son of the late David M. Peardon and Louise McKeel.

Danny was truly a family man. He loved his family to the utmost. One of the things that he was most proud of was when he earned the title of “Grandpa.” His one and only grandson was his pride and joy. Anyone who knew him knew who the apple of his eye was.

He had a gift for retail. He sold everything from cars to mobile homes. There wasn’t much that he couldn’t sell. His personality helped him to become a great salesman.

Danny loved to play the guitar. He didn’t stop there though, he had a love for singing while playing his guitar. If you stayed around him long enough, he would play and sing a song for you to enjoy.

His grilling abilities earned him the title “Grillmaster.” Anything that could be grilled, he grilled it. If he put it on the grill, you could count on it being delicious. He was best known for his melt-in-your-mouth chicken, one bite and you were hooked.

Left to cherish the fondest memories are his daughter, Kristen Peardon; grandson, Journey Peardon; brother, Jimmy McKeel and wife, Nicole; step-father, Jimmy McKeel; former wife, Kim Peardon; special friends, Robin Daw and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Peardon, and his sister, Diane Peardon.

At the request of the family, all services will be private.
