Elbert James “Jimmy” Davis, Jr., passed away Monday, December 19, 2022,  at his home in the Beautancus community near Mount Olive.

He had been a long-time employee with Raymond Smith at Welding and Repair Service. After its closure, he became employed with the Mount Olive Housing Authority in its maintenance department.  Jimmy had served in the United States Army as a young man.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Patricia Bell Davis, of the home; a sister, Kaye Davis Grady of Topsail Beach; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 21, at 2:00 p.m. in the Brock-Davis Family Cemetery located on the family farm behind the residence.   Friends and relatives may greet Patricia and other members of the family at the Davis residence, or at the cemetery following the service.
